ENVIRONMENT CANADA & SKY TRACKERS

Last night, I was bored at my weather work (no action), so I decided to browse Environment Canada's website. I haven't really taken an indepth look at the site, so I did yesterday.

To my eyes, I saw something so interesting and I just had to share it with my blog friends.

There are two things that caught my eye, and they work for parents, kids and educators. Firstly, click HERE to activate the main site where these things can be found and radar and satellite imagery as well.

Skywatchers is a program where schools install a program (I believe the cost for the entire program is $250.00 CDN, but don't quote me) and students can track and record data, later submitting it to Environment Canada. This program and more information can be activated by clicking here. This is a great program for teachers and educators who want to teach their students about the weather. It is mostly used in schools. You will also receive programs and resources (weather instruments) to record the data. To register your school, click here. You can also view other student's observations here. Once you enroll in Skywatchers, you can also enroll in Club Sky, which is a contest. Click here for information.

Severe Weather Watchers is also a great program. Click here for more information. This link will give you tips and registration information. Basically, SWW is a program that you can look out for Severe Weather and report it to Environment Canada.

Want the daily weather trivia? Click here (courtesy of Environment Canada). This is updated every day.

Before leaving, I leave you with a couple of links that I find interesting on Environement Canada's website: www.ec.gc.ca .

Have a great day...weather's looking great in TORONTO.
