Late Night and Still Working...

I would like to thank you for all the emails I've been getting. I PROMISE that those questions will be answered BEFORE Friday.

It's Monday night at 11:51 pm and I just got back from my Weather Data work. This was a l o n g day!!

So most of you are wondering what is a Weather Data Day?

A Weather Data Day is when I (Weather specialist) head out of the weather tracking room, off my computer and head out. I go anywhere my boss(es) send me. Whether it'd be to a day at the park, an outdoor sporting event or all the way to Florida, I need to track the weather every hour.

It's not that easy.

Today I went to the Toronto Blue Jays game at the Rogers Centre. (Beautiful game---Jays win!!) Every hour I need to take the temperature, wind speed, barometric pressure, humidex, hunidity and conditions. Then I compare. I got into the studio around 10:30 and since then I've been inputting the data onto the computer. Tomorrow I need to spend the day devoted to MY PERSONAL predictions and input those too.

It may seem like fun (and the game WAS), but the work isn't. Especially when they close the dome and I need to head out every hour ON THE DOT to check it.

It takes about 17-27 minutes to do so--accurate eh!


So yes, I am still working. I haven't inputted the data onto the computer yet...it takes about 2-3 hours to do just that. Hopefully I'm headed out by 2 am (if not, 3 or 4).

ALL THIS happens on data day.

Mark Your Calendar: I'm headed out on ANOTHER data day (don't know where yet) on August 15, 2007. Another late night I'm preparing for. I don't know if I can be able to write a blog that day. It just so happens that my boss decided to give me a break...WOW! Possibly another week later after that too, I don't know yet.

Breaks almost over...

TOMORROW ON THE BLOG:

• Meeting we had today...just before I left at 10:00 am to the data system we had a meeting at 8:00...I had to be in the office early @ 7AM!!! Don't feel bad!! ANYWAYS... I'll let you in on some tips from that meeting.
• Notice 2 new blogs on the blog spot?? Well I tell you more about those and if they will stay or not.
• YOU can participate in a meeting. I'll tell you how.
• A "heat wave" fact from a personality.

All this and more tomorrow. I don't even get the day off tomorrow...lucily though I don't have to be in until 12 pm.

Usually my hours are from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. Long days...tomorrow though its only from 12-6pm.
